Welcome to the latest podcast from Enterprise Ireland's eBusiness Unit. In this podcast we talked to two experts in the field of website analytics: what is it, why you should use it, what it can do for your business. Our guests were Martin Murray, Chief Executive for Interactive Return and Brian Donohue, Senior Analyst with iQ Content.

Martin Murray, Interactive ReturnMartin has led Interactive Return since 1999. His background is as an electronic engineer, working in Ireland, the UK, Middle East and Japan for companies such as Eircom and Ericsson. He's a former Director of the Irish Internet Association and is regularly asked to speak at industry events on issues surrounding online marketing.

Brian Donohue, iQ ContentBrian is a usability expert with over six years experience working with web technologies. Brian heads up iQ Content's web analytics services, and has helped numerous organisations, such as Vodafone, Dublin City Council, and ESB to use web analytics to effectively measure online activity, improve website performance and increase conversions. In 2005 he designed and delivered Ireland's first dedicated web analytics training course as part of iQ Content's Boot Camp training event. In 2007, based largely on Brian and his team's expertise, iQ Content was selected as Ireland's first certified Google Analytics partner.

Gareth Dunlop, MD TibusWelcome to the first podcast of 2008 from Enterprise Ireland's eBusiness Unit. In this podcast we talked to Tibus MD Gareth Dunlop about some of the key issues when it comes to designing or redesigning a website and what to try to avoid.

Gareth joined Tibus in 1997 as a Web Programmer, progressing to Senior Programmer, Director of Software Development and subsequently Managing Director. Gareth was a key member in the AIB project team which developed Ireland's first online personal banking service, launched in January 1997. He has managed accounts for some of the largest blue chip organisations in the UK and Ireland including SPAR, Bank of Ireland and British Gas, along with key e-government initiatives with Omagh, Strabane, Banbridge, Lisburn and Armagh Councils.
